Tom was appointed to the role of CleanCo Queensland CEO in July 2022, bringing with him more than three decades’ experience globally in the energy sector.   Most recently President We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service in the US, Tom oversaw close to 8000 megawatts of generation, serving more than three million gas and electric customers, having first joined Wisconsin Energy Corporation in 2004, serving as vice president until 2011.   His wide-ranging experience in the energy industry covers both renewable and non-renewable generation where he has had responsibility for development, construction and operations.  He has also led business and support organizations, including engineering, planning, training and safety and environmental sustainability.   His appointment to lead CleanCo Queensland is a return to Australia for Tom where he first worked as a project developer for Mirant Corp.  He has successfully delivered more than 5,000 megawatts of new capacity in the UK, Asia, Australia and the USA including plants in Indonesia and Queensland.   His passion for a future net-zero economy and project development experience positions him well to lead CleanCo through its next stage as it grows its portfolio of clean energy assets.
