Richard Romanowski is a performance-driven senior executive in the renewable energy and clean-tech sectors, delivering transformational business strategies to bring innovative ideas to market. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of eleXsys Energy. Previously, Richard ran a management consulting business and accrued senior executive experience leading change and commercialization assignments across various organizations in Australia and Canada for over 40 years. Passionate about emerging innovative clean technologies, he invests in clean-tech companies delivering solutions that drive the transition to a clean energy future. Currently, Richard is applying his experience to establishing eleXsys Energy in international markets including the EU, USA and the Asia Pacific, where renewable energy is displacing conventional carbon intensive energy generation. He has a Bachelor’s degree (hons) in Commerce, Marketing and Finance from the University of Manitoba and is a Graduate of the Australian Graduate School of Management. eleXsys® is an advanced power electronics device integrating a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) proprietary software applications enabling next-generation two-way smart grids. eleXsys Energy’s hardware and AI based software manages the stability and resilience of distributed solar and wind generation. It unlocks the full potential of electricity networks to integrate distributed solar and wind energy, and battery storage, either standalone or in a microgrid ensuring the most efficient, lowest-cost delivery of clean energy and grid stability services. In 2019, eleXsys Energy was the Start-Up Energy Transition Award Winner at the 2019 Energy Transition Awards hosted by the German Energy Agency (dena) and the World Energy Council in the category of Intelligent Grids, Platforms and Cybersecurity. In 2021, eleXsys Energy was also awarded first prize in the renewable category of the Davos Energy Week Start-Up Pitch Contest.
