Thom Woodroofe is a Senior International Fellow with the Smart Energy Council, with a major focus on Australia’s proposal to host the COP31 Climate Conference in partnership with the Pacific. He was previously chief of staff to former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, including in his capacity as Ambassador to the United States, and has spent over 15-years working on international climate action and the clean energy transition, including advising a Pacific Island nation during the negotiation of the Paris Agreement and helping them establish the High Ambition Coalition.
