Russell French is a 20+ year veteran in the Australian solar and cleantech industries. He is currently Director of Sales | Australia for Ampt who are the world’s largest Optimizer company for large-scale solar systems.
He was formerly the Director of Sales and Marketing for SENEC Australia – one of the world’s leading energy storage manufacturers with 200,000+ systems sold and owned by the giant $56B Euro German energy utility, EnBW.
He has served as Director for well-known solar companies such as Enphase Energy, Sungrow and Sun Empire. Russell founded Energetic Consulting – a boutique solar business support agency specialising in business coaching and sales training, and Solar Social – an innovative meet-up for solar professionals. He also co-founded Sunfluence with Sunwiz’s Warwick Johnston – a solar business support agency with automated marketing and business connectivity platforms. And Russell worked in the award-winning Sustainability Strategy team for the City of Melbourne and developed the solar & storage division for Red Energy, owned by Snowy Hydro.
For five years he served as convenor for the Smart Energy Council (formerly Australian Solar Council) Victorian chapter. He has consulted to some of the world’s largest solar companies like SMA, ABB, Solarwatt, Enphase, Yingli and Supply Partners. Russell has held qualifications in renewable energy, on & off-grid solar design and installation, electrical systems, energy efficiency, LEAN management, sales, marketing, and customer service.
