Daniel Popovski is senior policy and advocacy advisor and ESG lead at Governance Institute of Australia. Daniel works alongside company secretaries and risk managers from Australia’s largest listed companies through to small-to-medium sized enterprises and Not-for-profits to elevate cross-sector skills and knowledge of sustainability disclosure and reporting. He is closely engaged with ASIC and the ACCC on regulatory action and compliance activities, leads Governance Institute’s sustainability committee and has co-authored sustainability publications with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ. He has a background in economics, law, and climate policy with UTS, UNSW and ANU. He has held senior roles with several industry associations, including as senior economic policy advisor to the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Business and Industry Advisory committee to the OECD and International Chamber of Commerce.
